Mood Boost
1 in 10 children under the age of 10 are now recorded as having a mental issue, with less than 25% of those receiving support for those issues. At Chartwells, we want to support all aspects of children’s health and so we have launched a new MOOD BOOST campaign.
Our Mood Boost campaign aims to educate our pupils on the link between the food and drink they consume and how they feel to help support good mental health. To support the campaign and help encourage pupils to become engaged with learning about how to improve their mental health through what they eat and drink, we will be launching our new Food Superhero character; Fynn the Salmon.
Who is Fynn?
Fynn is our new Food Superhero. He is an oily fish (salmon) as oily fish helps to support brain development and promotes positive mental health.
Fynn has 6 moods (Strong, confident, smart, alert, happy and calm) and he is here to educate our pupils on what foods they can eat to boost each of these moods. The campaign will focus on two moods per term with recipes being released on how to eat to boost that mood!
