Food Super Heroes
Our Food Super Heroes are designed to educate primary school children about food and nutrition in a fun and engaging way. Many of our chefs cook on-site at schools across the country and are passionate about educating children on where their food comes from.
From Boss Banana to Casey Carrot, we love to bring a little fun to school meals by showcasing the ingredients that help keep children, big and small, strong and healthy.
You might see a few of them scattered across our website!
Supporting your children's education
Our Beyond The Chartwells Kitchen is an award-winning food education programme designed to empower pupils with an ever-evolving toolkit based around five key themes: Nutrition and health, cooking and food, mental wellbeing, sports and exercise, and sustainability.
Every week our team of educational nutritionists visits schools to deliver interactive and sensory workshops to pupils of all ages.
Spotlight Sessions
We educate over 100,000 students every month in schools.
Our brilliant Spotlight Sessions are available to teachers and are designed to help deliver important food-related curriculum topics.
Check out this example, where we highlight bumblebees as the unsung heroes of our food system and teach children about pollination.
Did you know that without bumblebees, 30% of the food on our plates wouldn't be there? As they say, every day is a school day!

Nowadays, school meals have become a firm favourite for children.
